Just Another Tree Lined Neighborhood in Prague

I don’t have much to say today, everything went O.K., and in the news, the lines are drawn, it’s all about what side you’re on, new thoughts are heard, and then ignored, we’ve seen it all, we all get bored, but each day is another day, the things we see along the way, the things we hear, the things we say, are imprinted in the air, in the record of all time, but sometimes it’s like a whisper, slowly fading, going down, and sometimes it’s worth writing down

In other words, slow news day, so I’m just going to write about my day, without serious social commentary.  Sam went to school by himself and then Helena left with Isabel, who is off to nature school for the first time today, which I think is early, 1st grade, but she was really looking forward to it, and I left at the same time.  The 1st class was uneventful, then the 2nd hour and a half of my 3 hour lesson wasn’t there because she was sick, so I was done teaching for the day at 11:30.  On the way home, I took a detour, and this is what I like about Prague.  I’ve been living here for 15 years, and I still frequently find neighborhoods I don’t know.

I saw the entrance to a park, actually I was just looking for a spot to exercise the natural male right of outdoor urination, for which purpose it served quite well, and then I walked along the lane and realized that it wasn’t much of a park at all, on the left a wooded slope led down to the road.  You could hear the traffic steadily and sometimes catch a glimpse of it through the trees.  On the right, it was back fences concealing large gardens.

It was a lovely walk, but it wound up taking about an hour longer than I thought.

I’ve started  reading “The Casual Vacancy” by J.K. Rowling.  It’s O.K.  It’s no Harry Potter.
