Things sure have changed since I was a single guy out looking for some action. At what point did women start thinking it was attractive for a man to send them photos of his shlong? I’ve had women turn away from me in disgust for far less crude gestures than that. So, I don’t get it.
But that’s just me. Apparently it was working for former congressperson and current New York City Mayoral candidate Anthony (aka Carlos Danger) Weiner. Up until he got caught, that is, which seems to happen a lot when you put dick pix on the internet (yes, Mr. Danger, twitter is part of the internet).
The first time it happened, he had to give up his seat in Congress and it probably caused some friction with his wife, who is not at all a bad looking woman by the way, he was just being greedy. Not that I really have any objections to that. I’d vote for Bill Clinton a 3rd time, if it were legal.

Anyway, now he’s trying to stage a political comeback, figuring if people will forgive Terry Sanford they’ll forgive him. (a mistaken assumption, because there are two basic differences: Sanford ran as a Republican, so people were just relieved that he was cheating with a woman, and he was running in South Carolina, perhaps the stupidest state in the Union and certainly in the bottom 10)
But, instead of being sincerely apologetic and not doing it again, he did it again! And got caught again! Now, as I said before, I don’t really have any moral objections to what he did. The girl he was sending the pictures of ‘Little Tony’ to was 22, so it was a consenting adults sort of thing, and how he explains that to his wife is his problem.
It has been said that if you repeat the same experiment again and again and expect different results, it is a sign of insanity. IMHO, it is at least a sign of stupidity, and stupidity is not a desirable characteristic in a politician. So, yeah, I think he should hang it up.
People often complain, come election time, “Why do we have two such bad choices? Can’t we have somebody else?” Well, yes, you could, and that’s what primaries are for. Besides weiner dude, there are 3 Democrats who are trying for that job.
People of New York, please, pick any one of them who isn’t putting photos of their wanger on the internet.
