Obama in Baltimore

So I get back from the mountains and I see that all the Wonketeers are abuzz with the Beatdown in Baltimore, The Fiasco on the Potapsco, The Chesapeake Chastisement, and that first one is a euphemism, btw.

Just watched it.  First, I’ll vent.  Then, I’ll talk rationally.

I hate it when Democrats and Republicans all talk nicely to each other.  Even Joe Wilson’s outburst was a breath of fresh air, although it would have been much improved if somebody had whacked him over the head with a cane, like in the good old days.

I hate this concept of bipartisanship.  Republicans are assholes.  End of story.

Of course, Barry says it’s wrong to talk like that.  He says we shouldn’t demonize the enemy.

Barry!  Wake up!  They are demons!

Now for the more rational part.  He’s probably right.  Not straight up on the merits of the case.  I have very good reasons for saying that Republicans are working for the dark side.  But if you examine our past records, mine and his, he’s usually right and I’m usually wrong.

Back during the primaries, I thought he should have taken the bull by the horns over the “bitter and clinging” statements, but he issued a nice little apology and carried Pennsylvania in the general.

When Hillary made her “hard working white Americans” speech, I felt he should have kicked her to the curb.  Then, when she made the Bobby Kennedy comment, which is surely one of the evillest Freudian slips of all time, I was livid, and couldn’t understand his calm acceptance of that.

But he won the election, and  she’s proving to be an exemplary Secretary of State.

So the track record would seem to indicate Obama’s calm willingness to compromise with the Satanic Forces of the Republican party is probably a more rational and productive course than my typing angry words in unread blogs.

Good Luck, Barry.
