O.K., I left this late and I find myself blogging at 5 minutes before midnight, New Year´s Eve which is just as well, we don´t go out for New Year´s Eve, neither my wife nor I drink and don´t particularly enjoy having firecrackers aimed at our feet either and actually we would be a little bit afraid to have the kids out in that mess but we did promise them they could stay up till midnight this year it looks like Isabel may have finally given in and gone to sleep but Sam´s going to make the distance, we are watching a Czech New Year´s program, complete with Talentmania highlights and Karel Gott, you cannot have any kind of a Czech TV special without Karel Gott, if Elvis had

lived, and had been Czech, he´d be Karel Gott, ooop, there it is, Sam and I went out to the balcony and Helena yelled at us for not having coats, a new year but nothing changes any more so than any other night, anyway, the date doesn´t matter to the blog because my computer is apparently on Greenwich Time so I actually have until 1, I wish everybody I know a prosperous and Happy New Year and if you are in the U.S. enjoy the bowl games. I hope that in 2011 Bradley Manning is freed and the investigation into 9-11 is reopened and I would like to see marijuana legalized and peace and love and common sense break out all over the world but I´m not holding my breath.

TV news just announced that everyone in the US who earns over $20,000. a year will see less taken out of their checks in taxes now. We poor schmucks who make less than $20,000. will pay more taxes !!!! They call this progress…..those who answer to the name of “Scrooge” I guess. The top government financial advisors have abandoned ship to work for Citibank, etc., so I think the US will soon be ‘last’ in more than awaiting the New Year to arrive.
