Instant Blog

I have to write this in a hurry because in about 5 minutes I need to be out of here to go pick up Sam at Nove Butejovice and bring him home, and I’m not sure the internet will be working when I get back because it wasn’t this morning and I want to make sure I get a blog written for today because I really am not feeling well and once I get home I want to go lie in bed for the rest of the weekend.

I thought maybe smoking a doob this morning would help but it really didn’t.

Anyway, they are rioting in cities across Libya, well, the four or five settlements along the north coast that are big enough to be called cities, I find it very ironic that Libya is the only country in the world with a flag that is all one color, green, and it is probably the least green country in the world.  They are rioting in Yemen and Bahrain, and in Tehran.  Add Madison, Wisconsin, to the list.

Of course, this is not the same thing.  The protesters in Madison are not likely to be shot and killed, or imprisoned and tortured, although that is legal now, just look at what they are doing to poor Bradley Manning.

I’m very amused at the Republicans squawking about the tactics of Democrats in the Wisconsin State Legislature.  (They have left the state.  With no Democrats present, a vote can’t be taken and the bill dies – for now.  This is not a real filibuster, but it is close enough.  It is the Democrats finally putting up a fight, finally willing to do something necessary and dramatic   to represent the unions and the people.

Gotta go.

I agree the Republicans are again picking on the lower income middle class and poor. However, unions and government workers at every level get WAY more money, benefits, retirement, health care, etc. than most middle class or poorer Americans….it is way out of line, unNECESSARY, and unfair to all non-union workers in America. Cuts do need to be made at every level for anyone earning over $40,000. a year. Reaganomics do not work, nor do greedy demands by unions help the poorer, non-union worker.
