Normally, I don’t pay much attention to Rush Limbaugh. But, a Facebook friend forwarded a bit about how Rush called us (by us, I mean Obama’s base. I guess I can count myself in that crowd) “walking human debris,” and “savages.” He also said we couldn’t find willing mates, which I found to be a bizarre thing for Rush Limbaugh to say. Whatever his sexual preferences, he is not an attractive man.

I’m not disturbed at the level of vitriol. I, myself, have referred to Mitt Romney as an animal abuser, Mike Huckabee as a dog torturer’s dad, Sarah Palin as a failed sportscaster with a vagina of steel. I have referred to Newt Gingrich as a two faced philanderer, Tim (I-35) Pawlenty as a wannabe redneck, Donald Trump as a snake oil salesman and serial con artist, Rudy Giuliani as a ferret faced fool, Michele Bachmann as a crazy eyed baby farmer, and both Ron and Rand Paul as delusional and insane. I have called Rick Santorum a loser and a homophobe. I have also called House Majority Leader John Boehner a crybaby Oompah-Loompah, and I know I’m not the only one.
The difference between me and Rush Limbaugh is that the things I say, even if they sometimes could be labeled name-calling, always have more than a small grain of truth. Mitt Romney DID strap a dog to the roof of his car, scaring the poor animal literally shitless. Mike Huckabee’s son did hang a stray dog and beat it to death with a baseball bat. Sarah Palin really was pathetic as a sportscaster and, if her account of Trig’s birth is to be believed at all, there is great justification for the “vagina of steel” appellation. Newt Gingrich is, undeniably, a philanderer, and a pretty classless one at that. Pawlenty’s fake southern accent (it’s on tape) was pretty hysterical and Donald Trump pretty much totally fits the snake oil salesman stereotype. Giuliani does have unattractive, beady little eyes and Michele Bachmann’s are almost Marty Feldman-like. The baby farming thing is legit, too, as she has had lots of foster children. Among people who have lots of foster children, you will find a frighteningly high percentage of religious fanatics. Yes, I distrust their motives. As to Ron and Rand Paul (and their supporters), going back to the gold standard is seriously not realistic. It’s fair to say delusional. The underground fence idea was kind of crazy, too. Rick Santorum IS a loser, which is why he’s not currently in office, and homophobia is the main plank of his platform. And, to point out that Boehner cries a lot and has an unusual skin color is just mentioning the obvious.
So, where does Rush get the “walking human debris” and “savages” comments? What incident is he referring to? In what way does it even touch on what we are? If you are trying to insult us, Rush, you are going to have to do a lot better than that.
