Is Glenn Beck Gay?

Now, I must admit there’s a lot of background I’m probably missing here.  I’ve never actually watched Glenn Beck’s program, but I know from what I read on the internet that he is a right wing, knuckle dragging troglodyte.  Likewise, I’m not really a super fan of Meghan McCain.  She’s relatively harmless.  I don’t think she’s particularly well informed or even exceptionally

intelligent, but I have no reason to believe she’s an evil person.  You can’t blame somebody for who they’re related to, even if that relationship is the only reason they’re on the national stage in the first place.  Of course, it factors into considerations, but Meghan has, on a few occasions, taken stances that differ from her parents.

And I’m not upset that Beck and McCain are squabbling (or is it a squirmish?)  After all, they are both Republicans, and this may be just the spark that starts the conflagration that puts a glorious end to that festering swamp of noxious gasses.

But I must take Meghan’s side.  Here’s the deal:  Megan, along with 3 or 4 not very major actresses, made a commercial, a public service announcement telling people not to go out without sunblock or they might get skin cancer.  A good cause, I guess.  I don’t use sunblock much, but on the other hand, I don’t sunbathe, or even spend as much time outdoors as I should.  And I don’t live in Arizona.

Anyway, the theme of the ad was that being without sunblock was like being “naked.”  The girls were posing “naked” but you couldn’t really see anything.  Meghan was filmed from a little bit below the neck up.  There was a bit of upper breast but no cleavage and certainly no nipple.

Anyway, Glenn Beck started making fun of the ad, doing the mock vomiting bit, like extensively, and saying  she should put on a burqa.  I don’t get that.  Meghan is a cute, 20 something girl.  Her politics may be repulsive but there’s nothing wrong with her body.

Or does Glenn have that reaction to naked women in general?

It doesn’t matter. They don’t think like you so it’s ok dehumanize and vilify them.
