Normally, I avoid mocking the same Republican two days in a row, because I don’t want my writing to get stale, I don’t want to sound like a one trick pony, but the statement that Willard “Mitt” Romney made today was so egregious that I’m going to totally forget about making fun of his singing voice yesterday and nominate him for the worst Republican of the last 24 hours.

Yeah, even worse than slimy reptilian “Newt” Gingrich, whose bodyguards brutally assaulted a Ron Paul supporter for the high crime of existing, and Republicans in the House of Representatives, who had a journalist arrested for being a journalist there to report on a meeting which was (theoretically) open to the public.
Romney said “I’m not concerned about the very poor.” Well, on the one hand, you’ve got to give the man credit for honesty. But it’s a Marie Antoinette sort of honesty. She honestly thought she was being clever when she said “Let them eat cake.” If I could be certain that we could limit the participants-under-the-blade to right wing politicians, I would suggest bringing back the guillotine and give them the same as she got for saying stupid, condescending, smart-ass things about the poor.
Of course, Mitt says he’s being quoted out of context, that you have to hear the whole thing but, honestly, the whole thing doesn’t sound much better. “I’m in this race because I care about Americans. I’m not concerned about the very poor. We have a safety net there. If it needs repair, I’ll fix it. I’m not concerned about the very rich, they’re doing just fine. I’m concerned about the very heart of the America, the 90 percent, 95 percent of Americans who right now are struggling.”

The very poor do not have health care, they do not have homes, they have a hard time getting enough to eat, they have no possibility of finding a decent job and turning things around because no employer is going to hire somebody without an address, especially if they stink because they haven’t had a shower for a couple of weeks, nor changed their clothes because the ones they have on are the only ones they have.
Fucking asshole.
I not only want Romney to lose, I hope he spends a shitload of his own money and still loses. I want him to contract a rare and horrible disease for which there is no cure. I want him to get busted for tax evasion and spend 5 or 6 years in prison, and I do mean federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison.
