Mas Sobre el Scandal de Prostitutas Colombianas

Dania, 24 years old. Don't call her a prostitute. She's an escort

The details of the Colombian scandal story are dribbling out and, even though I feel this is a tempest in a teapot, a distraction from the issues of the day (did any newspapers even mention at all what Obama discussed at the meeting in  Colombia or who he discussed it with)?  I’d say it’s something we shouldn’t make a federal case out of, except that it is, of course, a federal case.

First, the girl in question is smoking hot.  Secondly, the amount they were quibbling over is no quibbling amount.  After their little night of fun, when morning came and payment was due, secret service boy offered her $30 (the equivalent in pesos).  She said they’d agreed on $800.  That’s a big difference.  Suddenly, I don’t blame the guy for balking.

She says that she’s not a prostitute, she’s an escort, the kind of girl a guy could take out to dinner, the kind of girl who knows how to act in society.  And that’s the difference between a common prostitute and an escort.  (Some might say that the difference is $770, but they are just being crass and unsophisticated.)

He didn’t take her out to dinner.  They met at a bar.  Vodka was ordered.  All the guys were getting girls.  They went back to his room.  I can understand how he maybe thought she was a common prostitute.

Still, though.  When she started raising a stink in the morning and especially when she brought the cops around, you’d think the lads might’ve figured out that their jobs were on the line and ponied up sharpish.  Take up a collection, if need be.

I’m not saying the secret service guys did anything horrible, or unprecedented or anything like that.  But, their reaction time in a crisis situation was a tad bit below what you would expect from such an elite service.

One detail I’m a little curious about is what did the other guys pay?  Was it $30 or $800?  Not because it really makes a difference.  I’d just like to know.

The difference between a prostitute and an escort looks like a boob job.

It cost him a bit more than $800, unless his job and benefits paid only that much. Dumbass. We’re better off without him: stupid SOB like him would probably share classified pillow talk as well.

The story I’d read is that 2 guys hired her, but only expected to pay one shared price for the double action, while she logically expected full price from each of them. Whatever the true story, these guys were apparently so cheap that they were willing to lose their jobs, reputations, and security clearances over it. Sounds like really bad judgment on their parts & they probably shouldn’t have important responsibilities.
