O.K., I didn’t witness this personally, and I might be reacting somewhat differently if I’d actually been there, especially if I’d been there with the kids, because it was certainly inappropriate behavior, considering the time and place. But, actually I find it kind of amusing.

It’s amusing because I wouldn’t have really expected it in Prague. Oh, you have your usual mix of dodgy looking characters, it’s a big city, but when you get on the tram or the metro everybody buries their face in a newspaper or stares straight ahead with a bizarre emptiness in their eyes, as if refusing to take in the scene around them or make eye contact with anybody.
And there is certainly a gay community in Prague, both among the Czechs and foreigners. Still, I wouldn’t have expected this.
It happened on Sunday, in broad daylight, beginning at Strašnická metro station. Two male “actors” and one guy with a video camera were filming an explicit sex act (blow job) on the platform of the metro. The train arrived and they got on, still filming (and sucking). Then, they laid down on the floor of the train and just stone cold started fucking.
(The train obviously wasn’t as full as it sometimes is, or there just wouldn’t have been room)
Two significant points stood out as I read the article. First, they got off the train at Dejvicka. That means they went past Zelivského, Flora, Jiřiho z Poděbrad, Naměsti Miru, Museum, Mustek, Staroměstská, Malostranská and Hradčanská. Secondly, police are looking for them.
I guess nobody wanted to be the one to try and hold them until the police arrived.
So take that, Las Vegas, with your wimpy little pictures of Prince Harry’s naked butt. Prague, the city of a thousand spires, knows how to have a real scandal!
