Romney’s in a Bind…er

Hoo, boy, what a debate, eh?  I’m right back to thinking, as I was before debate #1, that Barry has this thing in the bag.

Binder Boy

Of course, if the whole thing depended on debate scores, it  would be 1-1 now, right?

Well, perhaps, except that Obama won the most recent one, which gives him the momentum, and the next debate is about foreign policy, which is not  exactly Mitt’s strong suit.  This is a guy who managed to visit England, during the Olympics, and screw it up.  He has less diplomatic finesse than a mannequin.

Also, there is the time between the debates, and Obama is not only winning that, but this debate left him with plenty of ammunition to keep him (and his ad writers) busy until the next one.

Binders full of women.  It’s rather a shame, in my opinion, that in a performance stuffed chock a block with lies, it was the  sound bite that did him in.  Of course he meant “binders filled  with the names and resumés of qualified women” and if he was a candidate who women liked, who was occasionally on the  side  of women, everybody would have let that slide.  But, he’s not, and within seconds of making the remark, it had made an indelible footprint on social media, and it’s still going.

To me, the worst part of that statement is that the whole thing is untrue.  He never approached women’s groups and asked them to suggest qualified appointees.  They approached him.  And, although he did hire some women, his overall record of hiring women throughout his one and only term as governor (because he sucked) was pretty bad.

Whatever.  I want him to lose because he is an arrogant plutocrat, but if women want to vote against him because he’s an insensitive creep, I’m happy with that, too.  He’s an arrogant plutocrat and an insensitive creep.
