A few opinions on a few different items.
Oscar Pistorius finally got indicted. It’s been a little over 6 months since he murdered his girlfriend. (February 14th. Valentine’s Day.)
What’s that all about? Why didn’t they just start the trial the next week? Do they know anything now that they didn’t know then? Nope. I’m pretty sure they’d taken a statement from him, measured and photographed the bullet holes in the door and in Reeva Steenkamp, and talked to the neighbors.
Cheapest of all the cheap pricks in the world
I don’t know much about South African law, but I suspect he will get off, being a celebrity, kind of rich, and having good lawyers. But he’s guilty as hell, IMHO.
Of course, Joe Biden is going to run. And, if he does, 3 or 4 other Democrats will jump in, too. Once it becomes a protracted battle, Hillary’s in trouble. It’ll be 2008 all over again. So, she’s hoping that an aura of inevitability will keep everybody else out of the race, but it won’t. She’s going to have to slog it out in primary after primary, and have a better plan B than she did in 2008 or she will, deservedly, lose again.
Mark Zuckerberg may be a computer genius, but he is still a cheap prick. facebook offered a $500 reward for anybody who could point out bugs in their system. A Palestinian hacker, named Khalil Shreateh, wrote in to tell them about a bug. Their crack team said “Eh, that’s not a bug” and blew him off. So, he got access to Mark Zuckerberg’s wall and said “Neener neener neener, told you there was a bug,” or words to that effect.
Now, facebook doesn’t want to pay the $500 reward because they say he broke the rules by contacting Zuckerputz directly.
Cheap fuckers.
Mark Zuckershmucker should pay someone $500 a day to slap him silly when he authorizes something as stupid as this. Pay the man! Offer him a job! A camel inside the tent pissing out is better than a camel outside the tent pissing in, as Lyndon Johnson always used to say.
So, Hosni Mubarak is a free man. WTF?? Is that a prelude to re-instatement? That would be a strange thing, and prove that I know nothing of Egypt at all. But if he’s out of jail, the possibility is on the table.
