Anyway, the law is after Steve Miller. They say he needs to pay a $5,000 fine.
I could understand it if he were growing marijuana. I still wouldn’t like it, because I think marijuana is a wonderful plant which can help the sufferers of many illnesses and provide hours of entertainment for everybody else, but I wouldn’t be surprised by it. I also wouldn’t be surprised if they had fined him for raising pigs, because pigs really, really smell bad and, like second hand smoke, the stink doesn’t just hover over your own place. I could also understand it a little bit better if this were a small piece of land in the middle of the city. I would still think it was weird, you should be able to plant cabbages in the living room of your tiny apartment if you want, but neighbors will complain about damned near anything. But that wasn’t it. I don’t exactly know the geography of the case, but if he has two acres, he’s not exactly living in the center of town.
No, I think this is just one more case of the police being dicks, using the law (which is written by dicks) to punish people who do good things. Because the police suck. They hate people, and they become police officers so they can drive too fast and force other people off the road, throw people in jail and beat them over the head with sticks.
