Here is a heartwarming little story, about an 8 month old baby who had cancer and now doesn’t because the father went ahead a shmeared a little cannabinoid oil (which may or may not be the same thing as hash oil, it sounds like it to me but you should consult a physician) on his pacifier every day for a few months.
Keeps the doctor away
The tumor was in an inoperable area of the brain so doctor’s weren’t so optimistic about the toddler’s chances, but the oil worked a treat. So, marijuana is not only a wonder drug, it’s infant safe. Also, plentiful and reasonably affordable.
Some people, i.e. drug companies and some doctors and some hospitals, are going to lose a huge source of income when it gets out that cancer is not only curable, it’s easily curable, and the drugs don’t need to cost an arm and a leg.
I’m pretty sure that’s why it’s illegal. Sure, the textile industry may be hurt by hemp competition, but if it’s legal and they play by a philosophy of joining rather than beating, then they will be able to adjust. I don’t think the oil industry is particularly concerned about competition from bio-mass generators burning leaves and stalks. The alcohol and tobacco industries might think they are going to be hurt, but marijuana is very, very compatible with alcohol, I can tell you from long and pleasant experience. As for the tobacco industry, fuck them.
No, this is all about the pharmaceuticals. And their spokespeople in government.
I read that Hillary Clinton said something today along the lines of “Even if we were to legalize marijuana, it might not reduce the level of drug cartel violence in Mexico,” as an argument against legalization.
This is the same logic the Republicans use when they say “Taxing the rich won’t solve all the budget problems, it’s only a trillion dollars, so why do it?”
a. There’s a very, very good chance that it would reduce the violence, in the same way that legalization of alcohol ended the gangland era.
b. It certainly won’t increase it.
c. There are hundreds of other good reasons to legalize marijuana (like curing cancer), and Hillary Clinton knows it darned well. She’s being totally disingenuous.
Get with the program, Hillary. Get with the program, Barack. Marijuana’s a miracle drug, and that’s all there is to it.
