I got a message from a friend on facebook saying that Jews did 9/11, are entirely in control of the U.S. media, and are manipulating the world’s financial system. Now, I have a lot of friends on facebook that I don’t actually even know, because I just add everybody, but Karel is actually a friend in real life as well, so I couldn’t just brush it off. Also, I think he might be at least partly right.
After all, Jews invented communism, psychoanalysis and the atom bomb. They have been heavily involved in the world’s banks at least since the days of Shakespeare, and banks don’t go back much further than that. They are certainly well represented in the media. 
There have been some very successful Jewish criminals. They are involved in everything, so why the hell not?
I once had a roommate who, like my friend who sent me the message, had a thing about how the Jews were running everything in Hollywood. He was a Mormon, working in the props department, a pretty talented guy who probably didn’t feel he was getting the respect he deserved. After all, who among us is? At one point in the discussion I said to him “Paul,” (because that was his name) “what you see as a conspiracy, I see as a legitimate source of ethnic pride.” Because I am half Jewish.
On my mother’s side, so you wouldn’t know it from my last name, and I’m not observant, so it doesn’t come up in conversation, and I don’t look Jewish at all. Also, I think the religion is a bunch of hooey and Jewish culture is a quaint anachronism which the world won’t particularly miss when it dies out. On the other hand, I spent a fair bit of time in Israel and used to speak Hebrew. So, I’m all mixed up.
Back to the main subject – did the Jews do 9/11? Well, if they did, nobody told me about it. So, it wasn’t ALL the Jews. If there is some evil Zionist conspiracy to take over the world, it doesn’t involve ALL Jews…in fact, I’d be surprised if it involved more than a handful. And I’m pretty sure some non-Jews were involved in 9/11…Dick Cheney, Marvin Bush, maybe Donald Rumsfeld. (I suspect Larry Silverstein was a key figure as well…I see this as an ethnically diverse conspiracy)
Basically, the way I see it, a conspiracy just means talking together, plotting, and people do it all the time. Can’t help it. Of course, rich and powerful people conspire with other rich and powerful people, because they want to remain rich and powerful. Poor people conspire with other poor people to try and get enough money for the next bottle of cheap wine.
The fact that a healthy percentage of rich and powerful people are Jewish is no indication that the Elders of Zion actually exist. Even if they do, it doesn’t mean all Jews are members, any more than all Italians are members of the Mafia.

I have learned not to categorize all ethnic people in any one way. I love the wit, wisdom, friendliness and intelligence of Jewish people. I think conspiracy and greed are multicultural.
I think Jews have been historically forced to work in the background to gain financial independence, which makes people go ‘Hey! Jewish Conspiracy!’ Yes, there are powerful Jews on High, but that is due to hundreds of years of work. One interesting thought: if the Palestinians had come to America, conspired, worked and fought their way to financial freedom and power, there would be no Israel. Israel exists largely because of U.S. involvement, which exists because of powerful Jewish entities in the body politic (and the corporate world, same thing). BTW, Willy, I had no idea! I thought you were goyim like the rest of us fools. 😉 Actually, I heard that Jews consider it extremely important to pass the seed of Abraham through the father’s side for ‘legitimacy.’ Maybe that’s why you didn’t get the Conspiracy Handbook or the Decoder Ring. 😉
No, quite the opposite. Judaism is matrilinear, on account of “Mama’s baby, Papa’s maybe.” So, technically, I’m a member of the club, but it is just a technicality.

The Jews were somehow involved but I don’t hold you personally responsible. I think they knew (how could they not – Bush would have known if he’d read something besides My Pet Goat – August PDB e.g.). Cheney and his buddies at PNAC needed that ‘Pearl Harbor” event to consolidate power.
