Ignorance

I’m reading a book called “The Big Secret.”  It’s a crackpot manifesto, one very strange man’s beliefs of how lizard people from Mars came to Earth about 4,000 years ago and have maintained control of the earth through maintenance of a pure bloodline (if you guessed this was going to be about the Rothschilds and the Windsors, you are correct), and he cites as evidence of this the fact that Princess Diana once said of her in-laws “they aren’t human.”

Raising the consciousness of mankind

Why am I reading such  a sensationalized, unscholarly work?  You may well ask.

First, a friend of mine who knows I think 9/11 was an inside job, sent me the link.  He, and the author, agree.

Secondly, it is on the internet in it’s entirety, for free.  When I get a freebee, I take it.

Thirdly, even a blind hog finds an acorn once in awhile.

Anyway, that’s not the point of my blog.  This is:  As I was reading, I noticed how he kept saying “The government is trying to keep the masses ignorant” or “The lizard people from Mars are trying to keep the people ignorant.”  It struck me:  The government doesn’t have to do a god damned thing  if what it wants to do is keep the people ignorant.

The opposite would be hard.  Ask any high school teacher.  Hell, ask anybody.  Look at TV.  Who are most of the shows aimed at?  That’s right.  Morons.  Who has sold more books, Dan Brown or Noam Chomsky?  Which draws a bigger crowd, a football game or a chess tournament?  Let’s face it.  Most people are pretty darned ignorant and show no particular desire to become un-ignorant.

I remember back in my youth there was a lot of talk about “consciousness raising.”  Do people still talk about that?  Because it doesn’t work.

We are doomed as a species.

(disclaimer:  I am actually a fairly optimistic guy who thinks that the human species has a very bright future ahead of it, but it would be difficult to explain why I think that.  All of the evidence says we are doomed as a species.)

I agree. It all comes down to money and those who will do anything, write a thriller novel, a violent or X-rated movie, sponsor a violent sport, etc,..to make a bunch of money for themselves. People will pay for a ‘thrill’ of any kind, not so much for things that require ‘thinking’….unless they are enlightened enough to know that ‘learning’ does stimulate the brain, improve your life, and provide a ‘thrill’ and lesson that enhances your life and choices. The U.S is near the bottom in education now.

  2. I used to know a couple of Rothschilds. Admittedly from collateral (or do I mean cadet) branches of the family. Their Martian Lizard blood was quite apparent, they seemed scarcely to bother hiding it. In all other respects they were the most pleasant and estimable of people.
