The weekend ends, it’s never long enough
to do much stuff
Played some football with Sam and took him to practice today, watched a fair bit of TV, a couple of cheesy Burt Reynolds movies and a couple of episodes of Dr. Who, finished the Milan Kundera book I’ve been reading, called Laughable Loves, but the stories tend to be bittersweet rather than comical. Good stories, though.
Wrote one song, well, concocted let’s say, I was singing her the A-B-C song, but I had Elvis on my mind, so it came out to the tune of Love Me Tender: A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J,K,L Oh, my darling I love you, more than words can tell M,N,O,P,Q,R, are you really mine? S,T,U,V,W oo are so divine X,Y,Z that’s the end, the alphabet is through, but if you’ll sing along with me, I’ll sing along with you, (and then you repeat it) so, actually, I’m pretty pleased with myself over that, so the weekend was not a failure.
Oh, and one big thing, we’ve almost got a third book, which was actually my first book but had to totally retype the damned thing, up online and then the next one or two and that’s it, till the next collection.
anyway, no coherent theme has emerged from my ramblings, so this is a short blog and I wish you all good night.
nice weekend. your kids will remember your time with them, and your song.
