Waukeshenanigans

What happened in Wisconsin yesterday was not a “dramatic twist” as the Huffington Post put it, nor a “shocking development.”  It was straight up, in your face, theft of an election, the most blatant I’ve seen since “Gangs of New York,” where the loser stabbed the winner to death in broad daylight in front of hundreds of witnesses.

Kathy Nickolaus, scumbag of the month

Here’s what happened.  In an extremely close, hotly contested election for a judge’s seat, which it appeared that challenger JoAnne Kloppenberg (a Democrat) had won by approximately 7oo votes, some 14,000 votes were suddenly “found”, two days after the election was over, giving David Prosser (the Republican) an approximate 7,000 vote lead.  The votes were “found” by Waukesha County Commissioner Kathy Nickolaus, a fanatic anti-abortion Republican and a former employee of Prosser’s.  She “found” them on her personal computer, which is where she always keeps the county election records.

She was called on that last year, and it was pointed out to her how irresponsible and unethical that is, but she just brushed aside the protests (www.bradblog.com has a lot more detailed info) and carried on.

This is no joke.  This is why it’s dangerous to have Republicans in office, at any level.  They will do anything, anything at all, to get their fellow Republicans in with them.  They are like the Mafia.  They are like army ants.    Once they get a toehold, they spread like an infectious virus.  They are pod people.  They have no intention of fighting fair, or showing any mercy.

I hope that Kathy Nickolaus is investigated, charged and prosecuted for election fraud.  And I hope she is “found” guilty.

I can’t agree more. A friend of mine is a die-hard ‘R’ and he’s pretty much like this. To this “discovery,” he’d not only say, “So? What’s wrong with that?”, but also find some way to blame Obama.
