VPCC?

Well, the headline said “Chris Christie is Open to Vice Presidential Spot” or words to that effect.  Upon reading the article, however, he barely left the door open a crack, and he left the chain on the hook and stood there, staring through the gap.  What he  said was, “Hey, it would be silly of

Will Christie Run? Hell, I'm surprised he can even walk

me to say no to something that hasn’t been offered.”

But to the press Chris Christie is the Republican Hillary Clinton.  Whenever they run out of interesting stuff to write, it’s hey, maybe Hillary and Obama will trade places or, hey, maybe Christie will change his mind.  The contortions he had to go through to convince the press that he didn’t want to run for president were embarrassing to watch.  Actually, contortions by Chris Christie is something I don’t even want to think about.

Jokes aside (Chris Christie will add a lot of weight to the ticket, Chris Christie will round out the ticket, Chris Christie will beef up the ticket) it’s really idle speculation.  Whoever accepts the VP nomination on the Republican side will go down in history alongside such memorable names as Amos Ellmaker, Theodore Frelinghuysen, Allen Granberry Thurman, Simon Bolivar Buckner I, and Sarah Palin.

While most folks, who are working in a small office cubicle for barely enough pay to take care of their rent and car payments, would say “hey, that’s still pretty good” it’s not a position any serious politician wants to be in.  It’s like a major Hollywood player stepping down to take a less than starring role in a TV series.

So, no, Christie is not  going  to take the VP slot, unless he’s already realized he’s through in politics and is ready to cash in for an “also participated” medal.

Because the chance the Republicans are going to win is just about null.

Austin Powers just called. He’s looking for Fat Bastard. This guy could sing, “I am the walrus” and it would make sense.

Seriously, is NJ so much better off for Christie’s governorship? Even if, can he then get 100 senators and 535 reps to dance on cue? If not, his supporters should STFU.
