I wouldn’t have any objection to newscasters being pretty but stupid, in fact I’d prefer it to smart and ugly, if their job consisted just of reading the news, as it used to. But for good or ill (mostly for ill) Fox News has changed that job description and today, everybody that’s on TV reading the news is expected to have an opinion. When stupid people express their stupid opinions on TV, in front of an audience of millions, it is a dangerous situation. We have a planet full of people who don’t understand what’s happening on the planet. 
If we were lost on a desert island, which is actually one way of looking at it, Earth adrift in the endless sea of space, large numbers of our crew would have a skewed view of what resouces we had, what dangers faced us, and how far from the mainland we were. We’d all die.
Megyn Kelly is not unpleasant to look at. But Jesus H. Palestinian Christ, what a moron. According to what she said today, Santa Claus, just like Jesus, is white, always has been, always will be.
A. Santa Claus is a fictional character. He can be any race, or gender, or green and fur covered if a writer chooses to make it so.
Currently, you have on television two entirely different characters who both claim to be Sherlock Holmes, although both of them live in the 21st century. One of them even lives in New York and his Watson is a hot Asian lady.
When Star Trek Voyager came out and they had a black Vulcan, I said “Oh, come on, for fuck’s sake,” but I got used to it. Fiction is fiction. Different versions are possible.
Also, she was responding to someone who was arguing for inclusion, saying that all children should be able to relate to Santa Claus. Didn’t Megyn ever see Miracle on 34th Street, where Santa can speak Swedish?
B. Jesus was not only a Jew, he was a Sephardic Jew, because Ashkenazic Jews hadn’t been invented yet. A lot of Jewish people might object to this, but we are not all one race.
Sephardic Jews look like Arabs, which makes sense, being as how they are both descendants of Abraham, just the Arabs got screwed because old Abe was a dick and didn’t want to admit that he’d pulled a Schwarzenegger. Sigmund Freud, Albert Einstein, Adam Sandler and myself are of the Ashkenazic variety, i.e. descended from Ukrainians.
Bottom line, at the turn of the very first millenium, anybody born East of the Mediterranean was going to be dark skinned and dark haired enough that they would not classify as white, not by the Megyn Kelly/Fox News definition of white, anyhow.
So, Megyn, maybe you should just stick to reading what they’ve written for you on the teleprompter and not make any attempts at improvising or having “thoughts” because you really aren’t very good at it. Sort of embarrassingly bad, actually.
